Not only is the Ulvsunda industrial zone within walking distance from my dwellings, it's also an area where a number of relatives have worked in the past. A grandfather was employed at different print shops here, my grandmother in the office of a large logistics supplier, both my dad and his brother had summer jobs in the area. Within the extended family there are even more connections.
The area became assigned for industry when the 20th century was very young but it took until the 40s before any major developments started. The zone's industrial prime is now in the past and most of the lots near the water will make way for housing in the near future. Thanks to the neighbouring Stockholm domestic airport not all will be converted and the area lives on.
