This 17th century treat had for a long time suffered from an owner incapable of keeping the palace in shape. Offers of funding from the community were neglected and when a fire struck one of the wings even the fire fighters were chased off the palace grounds. Luckily the whole place wasn't burned down. The old owner is now living in a home for the elderly and a new owner already started the much needed restoration.
At the time of our visit we shared the château with two young men clad with box-fresh sneakers recording a music video on the second floor. Their sound system blasted bass tunes that could be heard from afar, and they had parked the car right in front of the palace gate. All this made the visit quite uneasy and after a few shots on the ground floor we left promptly.
